How to verify a labour-agency licence before you engage
A name on social media is not proof of a licence. Confirm the entity, licence number, permitted scope and official contact channel before sharing documents or paying any fee.
Verify the legal entity
Ask for the licensed entity name, licence number and registered contact details. Match them with the official regulator's register instead of relying on screenshots or a salesperson's message.
Check the service scope
A licence and a business registration do not make every promise lawful. Confirm that the proposed service, role and destination are within the agency's permitted scope and the applicable employment rules.
Put the terms in writing
The contract should identify the agency, employer where applicable, position, pay, accommodation, service item, amount and payment timing. Keep the signed copy and payment evidence.
Escalate doubts early
If a licence cannot be verified or the terms change after payment is requested, pause the process and ask the regulator or an official channel for confirmation.
